Well we are getting an 8 month old male PWC in a few weeks. His name is Jake but we are thinking about changing the name. Just wonder what some of you have named your corgis and if you have any ideas for us?

My female cat's name is Scully (X-files), but that would be a good male name, too. It's perfect because it means "town crier" and she meows a lot.

I like to name animals after Food products or random objects that resemble them in either shape or color. Who says it has to be a "people" name?

He does look like a Teddy. I love thinking of corgi names, here are a few ideas, Morgan (actually has Welsh meaning), Yoshi, Banzai, Kody, Parker, Duncan, Yogi,

My girl is Hello Kitty and I knew I would use that name before I got her.Eventually I will get a male whom I will call Bye Bye Birdie.Whats better than Kitty and Birdie?

My dog names have always been a mixture of things. We had a lab named Max (typical lol, but he came with that name when we rescued him) Another lab named Ace, and another one named Blackie, A German Shepherd named Keana, a German Shepherd/Great Dane/Coyote mix named Bandit, and a PCW named Cardiff. Now we have a PWC Corgi named Eowyn and a Borzoi named Vladimir.

I had a load of male Corgi names because I was so set on a male, but then I got stuck with a female, lol! The male Corgi names I had in mind were, Phillip, William, Joseph, Roy, James or Captain. Good luck!

I met a breeder whose male was Montgomery. She said several of her customers named theirs Montgomery as well. I also love the name Pembleton. They are long, but distinguished! I had a dog briefly that I called Pembleton, and other people complained that it was too long. I say they were just lazy!

Cesar Millan says it's OK to rename a dog, because they live in the now, and he associates Jake with his past life. New life, new name.

We were going to go with either Bowser or Zeppelin if we got a male, we got a female though and her name is Penelope.

We tossed around the names Slider, Bogey, Boyd (a famous and influential Air Force General who went against the grain of things to get things done), and Winston (which I think is hillarious but it's gotta be the right dog). The pup looks quite cute!

I named my PWC Mia, short for Amelia. We also have a pug named Bill. We like very conventional ppl names, its funny when you call for them and somebody turns around. I don't know how easy it is to change Jake's name since he is already 8 months old. I would go through the online websites and look for baby names. Thats my best bet!
