My Corgi the Bird Killer!!

Last night I was at a vestry meeting and since it was still nice out, I left Ginny and ol' Josie outside. I left the sliding door to the office open so they could go in there, but nowhere else in the house. When I got home, I went to go let them in and found a HUGE DEAD BLACK BIRD right in the middle of the office floor! It was so gross. Josie has little to no interest in chasing.... anything and this bird was much too big for one of the cats to bring down. So that leaves but one suspect - - - - Bird Killin' Corgi Ginny. After the unpleasant task of cleaning up said nasty dead bird (a task quite "fowl"), Ginny wanted to snuggle. But alas, snuggles lead to kisses and I was not in the mood for her dead-bird breath kissing me on the cheek. No sirree! So she got the cold shoulder and even had to sleep in the kennel last night. So apparently corgis are not only herding dogs, but now bird dogs as well! Oh, the little runt-runt and the nasty stuff she's been into lately.... yuck.

Comment by James on June 21, 2008 at 2:22am: Cheez-it eats those worms that crawl from the ground in an attempt to cross the sidewalk but bake in the sun before they make it across. So Nasty, but he thinks it tastes like doggy-caviar... Some of the squirells and birds in the neighborhood are bigger than him still.

Comment by Natalie, Lance &Tucker on June 20, 2008 at 6:51pm: Whenever Lance sees a rabbit from the sliding glass door he wants to go outside! We do not have a fenced in yard so he only is out there on a leash with us. I have a feeling he would have fun chasing the bunny!
