As I posted here previously, corgis are not seen so often in our small country in the middle of Europe. My Risa is clearly the only corgi living in my town and its surroundings. When I walk him, I'm being stopped by many people asking me questions and admiring my Risa. It seems that nobody knows this breed here, I feel like a corgi pioneer. Sometimes I'm a bit offended by people telling me what a nice mixture or crossbreed it is! I'm a big educator here and first results are coming: no-one knows me, but the most of people I meet knows my dog, his name, the breed, how big he will grow, and so on. We're a very popular couple here.
Risa himself is doing well. We're working on "Sit" and "Down", also I'm trying to make him quiet when brushing him or touching his teeth. He's starting to get the idea of "Leave it", which is so important for us (as I mentioned in discussion - thank you guys for your ideas!). So far he's been VERY good in "Come", in quiet places I can even walk him without the leash. He's totally treat-motivated, so the training is a piece of cake when I have my pockets full.
Sometimes I'm not quick enough and Risa eats something bad, which often causes him diarrhea. I'm thinking about buying Smecta (actually something like medicine clay) for emergency cases, have to discuss this with my vet on Monday. Hopefully, there will be no need for this remedy soon.

That's great that you're educating people on the corgi breed. They're so adorable everyone can't help but be attracted to them. :)

What a neat story! Thank you for sharing, and it's good to hear how well Risa is doing.
