It's been over a week now since we got Elvis. Actually he was going to be Eli, but he just has too much attitude for that name. At almost 9 weeks, he's doing very well, getting around much better, ears are nearly up, and he's quickly learning where to potty. He even understands "no" now, which is especially helpful when he's about to do something naughty across the room from me. What a guy he is!

We took him up north this past weekend to my parents, and he rode up there in the crate with the two kittens we were returning to our parents. He LOVED the kittens, and they all snuggled together the whole way there. He also enjoyed playing with them, and they tolerated his antics quite well. Good kitty introduction! During the visit he alos met other dogs, lots of other people and quickly adjusted to sleeping in his x-pen during the night. Still a little whining early in the morning, but otherwise very good.

Another concern was how our adult corgi Junebug would accept him. She was wary of him at first, and didn't like him barking at her or jumping on her. She would usually slink away whenever Elvis came around. But that only lasted a day or two, and soon they were playing. Now they are buddies and I even keep them penned up together during the day.

So for all of you kind enough to care about my new little guy (I know, we all love corgis!) I wanted to pass this update along since I posted that we were going to bring another one home. I'll try to get some new pics posted soon.

Hey~thanks for the up-date! Ilike to hear about other Corgi peoples progress with pups and older corgis.I think kids and pups are alot alike and that training, discipline and repetition AND lots of love and affection are key. Have fun with Elvis,he sounds wonderful!
