Tig got his his first Imminicide treatment on Friday. I couldn't look while they gave him the shot. Within 45 minutes of receiving the shot, he started feeling bad, mainly muscle soreness. Beyond that and the lethargy, he is doing well. He's doing a good job of restraining himself when it comes to exercise. I do reward him with a short, quiet walk down to the corner of our block, but you can tell he's in a lot of pain. I've asked my vet for some pain meds and a friend of mine is a Healing Touch therapist and I have asked her to work on him. I really wish that the people that had Tigger before me could know just how badly he is feeling due to his HW treatment. Maybe they wouldn't have neglected him so badly. I guess their loss is my gain. I will just have to be patient and hope that he pulls through the next six weeks of treatment! For all of his pain and suffering my friend Cheryl picked up a new black leather, raised leather collar with a brass name plate. He is going to look so handsome!

Molly already has her leather collar- her's is newMarket tan with a hunger green padded leather and name plate. Since Tigger is out of commission, Molly and I went out to see the Horse. She was happy to have some alone time. Molly doesn't know it, but the barn will be her exclusive domain for the next six weeks- that ought to make her happy! She sat in the tack room and just chilled while I gave the horse a bath, cleaned his stall and then my tack. As her reward, we took a walk out to the jump arena and gave her a chance to stretch her legs out. She showed the barn workers how she 'sings' . She is a great barn dog: never bothering the horses, staying close by, and respecting the barn workers and stealing horse cookies! She seems to be developing a little hot spot- I am treating it with Derma Calm, which I had gotten for the horse but is working great on the hot spot. . A similar product that works very well is Calm-Coat http://www.calmcoat.com/products.html

We tried out the Newman's Own Peanut Butter Dog Treats. I thought they were a bit dry and cardboard-esque. I think Molly and Tig would walk through the gates of hell for just one!
