Didi has been spending the last few days learning new door manners.

Whenever someone comes to the door, she gets to sit by the pillar in the foyer. She doesn't like this at all. She tries to look away from me and creep towards the door (and the people coming through it) like I don't see her. Or she army crawls toward the door, with her feet on the rug she's supposed to be at, like she's trying to steal home or something.
On the bright side, now when the doorbell rings, she runs over to take up her post in the foyer and stares daggers at me. "Pleaaase let them pet me... PLEASE"
Slowly but surely.

She's 9 months. :p She figured out not to come into the kitchen (or the dining room when we're eating) soon after we got her (10 wks?). They're more clever when they're little things than we give them credit for. Clever enough to steal my remote control when I wasnt paying attention to her, the little cur. >(

Door Manners? You are a better man than I am Gunga Din. It has been 9 years, and Emma still doesn't have a clue. And yes, before you say anything, I am fully aware that it is all my fault, but she is clearly both smarter and stubborner than I am.

That's so awesome! How old is Didi? I'm trying to figure out when I should start teaching Kuma door manners... or rather, when he'll realize what door manners are! I've been trying, but he doesn't seem to get it quite yet.
