Well I went to the vet today, I didn't sleep when I got out of work at 3 am so I could take her bright and early to make sure the vet would see us since I didn't have an appointment. We got there and we had to wait a little while but he took us in. We have to put a muzzle on her because she holds grudges... lol. He felt both her legs, looked at her paws, moved her legs in a billion circles, and she showed no sign of pain. He said she was very nervous and tensed up all her muscles so he really couldn't feel if there was a sprain. He said no broken bones and nothing too very serious and sent us home with a non-steroid anti-inflammatory medicine called, Rimadyl. She is taking it twice a day for 21 days, and has an appointment for that day. Oh and talk about embarrassing, when the vet wanted to see how she was walking she peed right in the middle of the floor and refused to walk... haha!

We also found out that our landlord is selling the house, so we will more than likely be moving to NH to be near my father, and grandparents. They have a WONDERFUL vet that takes care of my fathers very sick beagle. So that is where we will be taking Lola from now on. Thank you to all that helped =) I really appreciate it!!!!

Stephanie, glad to hear Lola is doing better. I am glad you will be going to a vet that you feel more comfortable with. Rimadyl is what Lance was on when he had the similar problem as Lola. He is not on it anymore. Lola hope you feel back to yourself very soon.

I am glad lola is okay. Don't you just love the drama queen doggies!?!?

The first time I took Molly to a horse show- she over did it...she pretty much spent the entire day jumping around, and hopping on her back legs. It was pretty hot that day, and in the afternoon we were inside an air conditioned room and Molly had been laying on the cold floor for about an hour and then she started SCREAMING. We couldn't figure out what had happened and man was she loud and in pain! We freaked out! We rushed her to the emergency vet who could find nothing wrong with her. He gave her an anti-inflammatory shot and had me give her Metacam for a week. Now, when I know she has been playing hard, I give her a baby aspirin just in case!

Hope Lola's ok and glad to hear it wasn't a break or anything serious. Good luck with the move, nice to know a vet you have a great recommendation for.
