I hate my vet...
Figures the only time that I ever need them, they're closed. They were closed on the Saturday my cat's lung collapsed, and today, on a MONDAY, they're closed?! Lola is limping, with her back right leg. I don't know how it happened. We were playing in the yard chasing each other around, we came inside, she took a nap and when she woke up she didn't want to put pressure on it. I thought it may have been asleep but it's definitely not. I waited a while to make sure. I was touching her leg and back to see if there was any pain, which there's not. I was looking at her paw to see if anything was stuck in it, nope. Her nails are a little long because she won't let me cut them, but that doesn't seem to be the reason either. Maybe she has a pulled muscle?? Is there anything I can do for my baby until I can take her to the vet tomorrow Can I give her aspirin? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!! Thank you =)

I am sorry about Lola!! I use Sakonnet vet it is in Tiverton RI. They are very good. I travel far to see them. They saved my cat's life when he swallowed a needle.They are open all the time late at night and even on Sat.The only day that they are closed is on Sunday. I know that there is a 24 hour emergency vet in Swansea Ma, if you really need to take Lola in. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! NO! No aspirin! Never give a dog human pain medication. Not even Tylenol.
Seriously you should try looking for other vets. Sometimes it is hard to find a really good caring vet.

I just HATE my vet, I feel like no one cares about my dog. I've taken her to 2 vets and I have never really been happy with them. One is an office with only one doctor, and he is nice, although I think he just wants you in and out and wants to fit as many patients in one day as he can. And the other one is like a hospital. I took her there and we met the MEANEST doctor ever. He told me I should discipline my dog more, and that she was spoiled. He scarred my dog. She now has to wear a muzzle every time we go to the vet, and cries like someone is killing her if a stranger touches her. I don't know what to do... =(

Your Welcome : ), yes it is always good to have the vet take a look, we had Lance x-rayed to make sure it wasnt anything more serious. Let me know what you find out at the vets tommorrow.

Thank you Natalie =) Lola isn't doing much of anything besides sleeping and lounging around on the couch. I don't crate her but I will make sure she doesn't want to play. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow regardless of her condition. Thank you for your time and advice!

Good possibility it may be a pulled muscle. Lance did the same thing when he was a puppy! Our vet said to have them rest....I know....it is hard but it helps it heal and if they dont rest it takes longer for it to heal. If you crate her if she is used to a crate otherwise I would try to gate off a small area so she doesnt have room to run around and reinjure it. I feel for you, we've been there. It should get better, hopefully it is just a pulled muscle.
