That's it! Lola is officially smarter than me!

I don't know when this started but Lola has somehow learned that she can trick me. First off let me just tell you that she can't go down the stairs, she can only go up. So today I was in the living room and she decided she wanted to go upstairs. She sat at the top of the stairs crying like a baby until I went up to get her. She had "crazy eyes" and ran alllllllllll the way down the hall and hid under the blankets in my bed. So I thought it was weird, went and grabbed her and brought her down. As soon as her feet hit the floor she ran right back up the stairs again. Crying and crying, I felt bad so I went to grab her again, and she did the same exact thing!! I got her brought her down, and up the stairs she went again. She was tricking me, and she loved it. She had a huge smile on her face every time she saw me coming up the stairs. I can't believe I fell for it 5 times!! The last time I let her stay up there, and she hasn't done it since. Ahhh... she learns something new every day. She likes to drive me crazy =)

Stephanie that is a great story. LOL!!! Your little girl is too funny! Trust me corgi's are great training for children. I am a special education teacher and my corgi's like to test me like my students.

Thank you for all your comments =) I DO have my hands full with this crazy girl haha. Our stairs are hardwood and sometimes she even has a hard time going up if shes really tired. She fell all the way down the stairs once, so she won't ever try it again. Although at my dad's house he has carpet and she will go down them. I'm not sure I would be good with kids, if my dog can trick me into believing her haha

Our stairs have carpet so she can get up them fine. I know our girl can go down if she really wants. She did it once when I was away from the house and she was looking for me. But forget it if I am around. She does stairs at my sister's house just fine.

Oh, what a great story! I'm glad to hear that Gus isn't the only one who won't do stairs. Are your stairs carpeted, or hardwood? I've always wondered if I put carpet on them if it would make a difference... Also, corgis are great training for having kids, who ALWAYS think they're smarter than you!!!!!

Le-le has a human elevator who brings her down each time. My husband thinks it is best for her but guess who does it?....

Leon used to do that. Still does sometimes, but I've come to ignore it and he's learned the only way he's getting down is if he does it himself.

Dogs are too smart for our own good. :)
