Trice will be 11 weeks tomorrow and the breeder says his ears still hasn't erected. His sister's ears erected at 3 weeks. I was reading that some people tape back the ears, which I will definitely NOT be doing. Guess Trice is a late bloomer (literally lol)! I just have to be patient.

Your baby is adorable. Madog got his up at nearly 14 weeks. I was kinda sad to see them go up.

George was a late bloomer. He is six months old now and his ears are still somewhat floppy. They both stand erect but are really floppy. Rosie's ears were both up by the time she was 12 weeks old. George was four months old before both of his ears stood up. He looked really funny for a while because his ears were at half staff; made him look like bat dog for a while.

Kiwi is almost 6 months old, and still has one ear down, we're pretty sure that it's going to stay down, which is fine with us b/c we think she's adorable. Some puppies just have big ears, so they take a little longer, you can try mixing a little fat free, plain yogurt in with his food, the calcium always helps. Good luck with the ears!

I got Grover at 10 weeks and the week before I brought him home, one of his ears flopped back down. His totally went up on its own. I think it was related to teething. So, no worries, his ears could turn out just fine!

I have taped ears using masking tape. Works like a charm and is not painful to take off. The longer they stay down the more likely they are not to stand. Certainly if you enjoy the down ear look then taping isnt an issue. They may or may not stand on their own at this age depending on the size of the ear, the density of the ear or the possibility of broken cartilage from puppy interactions.

Yes be patient they should go up.....Lances ear didnt go up until 14 weeks! One ear was already up and the other one still down. You can hold Trice in your lap so his ears will point down and you can massage the ear, that will help strenghten the ear. Sometimes teething makes the ear stay down longer. I massaged Lances ear and it seemed to work. Good Luck and Congratulations on your puppy!
