Callie is now 3 months old and we had to go to Petco to pick up some doggy litter (Callie is being litter box trained and she is doing awesome with it! She still does go outside if she is already outside) So we decided that she could go to Petco with us. She has been kind of locked up all day because I had surgery on my foot and it's hard for me to keep track of her when I can't walk very well. We get in the car and are on our way and we found out that windshield wipers terrify Callie. (She's not afraid of very many things)

Once we get to Petco we were stopped in the parking lot because people wanted to see her (it happens all the time) and then we head in. The second she gets in the building she starts shaking her little nub and starts sniffing and wants to go everywhere. She went down the toy asile and tryed to sneak off with a toy, and she did the same thing down the bone asile. Everyone who saw her wanted to pet her or give her a treat (it was around her supper time so I wasn't to thrilled about her getting tons of treats) Over all the trip was successful and I was quite proud of how well she behaved. She loves people a little to much sometimes and starts freaking out when she sees someone, but she did fine.

And the following remander of the story has nothing to do with Callie but it was very funny and I have to share. We were in one of two left turning lanes, there was a lady beside us (to our left) and when the light was green we turned and she turned... but she turned onto the wrong side of the median and started driving down the wrong way of a one way. And she didn't even notice!!! There wasn't any oncomming cars luckily. Once she did realize there was a look of terror on her face. I couldn't stop laughing, I knew if I were in her position I would be terrified but I just couldn't stop laughing. She ended up pulling into the right side of the road at the next intersection and was never in danger from oncomming cars. All ended well.

Well, it sounds like your recovery is going well. I read somewhere that a pet not only helps people psychologically, but also when you're sick. Something about endorphins, I think. That petting a dog or a cat helps release those good vibe hormones.

Before I had the surgery the pain was getting worse everyday. Now it's been over a week since surgery and everyday I can do more. It's still sore and tender but it hasn't been that long.

Hey Lusa- Callie is adorable. She looks like my Camber may have looked as a puppy. We adopted her in March and she didn't come with any baby pics. Cam is ok in petco, but she doesn't sneak off with any toys...she hasn't yet learned how to play with them. Hope your recovery is speedy!

I had a tumor in it that was starting to spread the bones apart. (It wasn't cancerous!)
