We've had nowhere near the weather that those enduring Fay have experienced, but our weather has been pretty drizzly and awful. Poor Didi hasn't had a walk or a run or a dog park visit since last week. She's been telling us all about it with her barking, her increased frapping, and her constantly baiting the cats. Poor little thing.
I'm hoping I can get her down to the dogpark tomorrow or the day after. It's not so much that she gets muddy... she hates the water, it's that she gets bothered by other dogs that are wet. It's the wierdest thing, but when confronted by a wet, dribbling dog, she gets all moody and ornery. Like "You filthy beast, get away from me! You're mussing my... NO NO, DONT SHAKE WATER ON ME! ARGH!!". She doesn't get into fights, I just don't think that she enjoys it very much. And if she's not enjoying herself then there's not much point in taking her to the dogpark.
Here's hoping it dries out.

I hope Owen doesn't develop that issue.. Western WA is pretty rainy.. I think I'm the one who doesn't like it though... Owen loves a good mud puddle and he is so low to the ground he manages to get filthy when it rains! Lucky Didi doesn't live in Puyallup!
