Ofelia was the only tricolor in her litter. Both of her parents are red and whites. But according to her lineage, she has a great-grandfather I believe it was who was a tri. She was born on April 21, 2008, to a breeder in Pennsylvania, and I brought her home 8 weeks later. She was a gift for my graduating college, so I was really surprised. I hadn't even planned on owning a dog for a while. I can barely afford her, but I wouldn't give her away for the world.
She was born a natural bobtail. They didn't have to dock her, but they did remove her dewclaws. I wish they hadn't, but that's okay.
The breeder told me before I picked her up that she was always the first one out the door among her brothers and sisters. She still has that spunk; definitely a step ahead of me most of the time.
As she grows, her adult coat is coming out. It looks like she's going to have a red mask, and she has a little bit of a red and white mismark on her shoulders. Everyone she meets always says something about her ears, most of the time saying she'll probably grow into them. That's fun to hear. I guess they've never seen the ears on an adult corgi.
