Ok Rambo is driving me a little nuts because I wanted a dog that can walk with me not having me carrying him all the times. He does not like having a collar and walk with a leash. I can't carry him all the time as he is getting heavy for me to put him in my little gym bag.

What's the best way to encourage your corgi to walk with you? How much older do they need to get to start getting used to walking?

Pups can learn to walk on lead as young as eight weeks. He has learned how to encourage you to pick him up. Rather than give in to his desires take the time to teach him to walk. You can bet before long not only will he be too heavy to carry it will also be much more difficult to teach him to walk on lead. All puppies begin with negative reactions to a collar and lead. That is part of the training we must do as they grow. Corgis are most manipulative and opportunistic and will not miss a chance to have things "their way" Time, patience, practice and consistency will get you through.
