Another quiet night. I put Jake out and clearly he does NOT like being out alone. Of course, he was used to being with all the other dogs in the foster home, and he does not like being out alone, I have to go with him.
Oh, well, the answer to that is get another Corgi!
Well, not really, but it would be nice for him. Perhaps someday. In the meantime, we need to learn to go out on our own. I think he is a bit scared, the yard is big, he is alone and I suspect he may have been in a more quiet neighborhood in the foster home as the trucks and loud noises seem to alarm him a bit. He is finally barking at things. I am not pushing him, I will go out with him, then go in and stay at the door so he can see me. A little at a time.
The only "worry" is that he does not seem to drink that much water. Perhaps this is conditioning from hanging out with H, the holistic nutritional counselor, but I worry that he drinks too little water. We have water bowls all over for him, and I make sure he is out of his crate and has access to them. Perhaps I worry too much...
