Today was Archie's first day with us at work. XP Not sure how he did. I downloaded some classical music to play while we were out. Hoping it would mellow him out. Did some tricks with him when we got home. I messed up when I brought him up after taking him to the bathroom. =( He started growling at a neighbor and i know I pulled him closer to me than i should have but I forgot to ignore him. Ugh. I have to remember not to react to him. It's hard, though. =/ I'm determined to get it. Practiced teaching him to heel. He has a long way to go but seemed to kinda get it? He gets so distracted with being outside noise and the smells. It's hard for him to focus. Will keep working on it though. Trying to teach him to stay even when I leave, seemed to confuse him a bit and wanted to play when I kept putting him in the same spot to lay down and stay. XP He'll lie in his bed/blankie we got him but only when you are right next to it. It's taking a lot of talking between Greg and I to get the training straight but it's coming a long nicely. It helps to have someone backing you up and reminding you to ignore when you slip. XP Archie looks pooped which is good. Played a little tugging with him and that tired him out. He gets his toys stuck under the coffee table and we just sat there and watched him try to get them out. Its funny because he gets them out but then they go right back under. You get tired of pulling them out for him after awhile. Anyways. That's about it. Pretty proud of him and I think it'll just take sometime and he'll be a "good dog." XP
