Well, after months of anticipating our move from Northern Virginia to Northern California, we have finally arrived. Micha really didn't like the plane ride, but she was very good. Word of advice: when travelling via air with dogs, I highly recommend having a big bottle of water on hand for when you pick up your dog. Micha drank almost a litre of water upon landing. She even refused food in favor of water! That was a first :-) It's probably not so bad on shorter flights, but longer flights are kinda dry anyway. The cats also made it in one piece (thank goodness for cat tranquilizers!). While our households goods are still on the way (probably in Illinois about right now), we have some basics and are starting to settle in. I'm looking forward to when we're all adjusted to Pacific time though - waking up at 4am local time is for the birds!

Suse, we were on United. It was quite the circus - Micha and one cat got checked as baggage, and we carried the other cat on with us in a Sherpa bag. I hope to never have to fly with the animals again, though it's a toss up when the alternative is a 5-6 day drive!
