We finally got settled in our new house! Wahoo! Oakley and Maggie (the cat) seem to like it a lot. We have HUGE windows that go down to the floor that they can sit and look out of. Maggie has found that Oakley's bed provides a very soft lookout spot. Oakley has met a lot of the new neighbors and their children (there's something in the water because everyone is either pregnant or has one or two small children). She seemed a bit nervous around the little ones at first but now she loves it when they pet her. She has also made friends with Layla the dachshund that lives next door. Layla likes to sit in her backyard and bark at Oakley and Maggie when they sit in the windows. I was surprised at their friendship since Oakley normally prefers large dogs. Whenever we say "Oakley, where's Layla?" she runs to the window and looks for her. We went and looked at a rescue dog last weekend. He was a VERY nice dog but things didn't seem to quite click. I was a bit disappointed but having just Oakley isn't such a bad thing! She provides more than enough laughs. We might consider getting a puppy sometime in the future but that's yet to be determined. The furminator arrived this morning and I had a blast with it! I didn't get a ton of hair off of Oakley but Maggie was a shedding fool! I was wondering if there is a danger of using it TOO often. Any advice on how often to use the furminator?

Congrats on the move :) We use the Furminator once a week, it seems to save my Dyson and Roomba quite a bit, both my dogs find it "therapeutic" when they get furminated :)
