Kenzie and I started our first Fly Ball class today!

Lucky for US, we were the only ones there! Hahaha..
Something about people being in California?

I really think I picked the jack pot for her out of dog sports in regards to her personality.
She climbed on the Fly Ball Box like it was a jungle gym and wagged her tail when it clicked.

I thought she might be scared of the strange object or at least the noise. Nope.
She already knows how to jump hurdles and did just find with that. I also whipped out some of the tunnels for her to go through (I know tunnels have nothing to do with Fly Ball but it was still fun)

WE ALSO INVESTED IN A PRONG collar today!
The FIRST correctional tool I've EVER seen her react and ship shape up too!
NOTHING worked for us as correction ..EVER...because she is a tank of brat.. but OH MAN. She was a pro at my every command when she had that collar on. Collar goes on and the dog acts instantly trained!
I bought it with in seconds. I know they look scary and cruel, but when your dog decides to test you as much as my wild child does, it is needed. When I took the prong off she was still acting with in reason when we left. So far very effective.
I shall use it those days she decides that she wants to defy me on our walks or for barking fits that are not excitment related.

Anyhoo! I am excited and she slept the whole way home.
I recieved a kiss from her in the car so I think it is safe to say she had fun today.

That's great! When Charlie's old enough, I hope to get him into Agility of Flyball. I'll look forward to hearing Mackenzie's flyball stories. : - )

Prong collars aren't cruel...all training tools can be effective when properly used. They put equal pressure all the way around the dog's neck, which actually seems easier on the throat than a regular collar that puts all the pressure on the trachea. Keep working on loose leash technique though, so the collar doesn't become a crutch.

Whoopie Kim, sounds like a great day! May you do well training at fly ball. This is a venue I have never tried.
