First of all, I'm going to be starting up a blog soon on http://mydogisfunsized.blogspot.com . Right now I'm working on making a background for it, and because it is called "My Dog is Fun Sized", I decided to go with the theme of dogs in chocolate bar wrappers costumes. I thought it would be fun to come up with some corgi themed candy bar names to put on them. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. These are the ones that I've gotten done mostly so far:
I don't currently own a corgi, so I have to look on the internet for references. If you think that any corgi that I make looks too much like your own and you feel uncomfortable with that, just tell me and I will take it down.
The other thing I wanted to talk about is something my sister asked me to talk about. She would take him on herself, but she's in financial straights herself and can't afford him. I know this is a corgi site and I would post it on the blog I'm making, but I have no readers thus far since I just started it. I guess that's kind of useless at the moment. She's been concerned about a beagle that has been in the Green Bay Humane society since 11/22/2010.
His name is Duke and he's a friendly 5yr 1 mos couch potato. Link

(Thanks a lot! I'll be dreaming about this tonight. :)
Ahaha, that's brilliant!
And yes, corgis are very much the tootsie rolls of the dog world!
So Chewie, do Pemmy Joys have bunny butts, but Hounds don't? (...Almond Joy sounds awesome right now.)
Corgis do kind of remind me of little tootsie rolls! They're like... tootsie roll pups. Your illustrations are totally cute, btw! I can't wait to see more. Are you doing any with Blue Merle Cardigans? Those guys look awesome, imo.
Anyhow, good luck with your blog, and good luck to Duke!
I love your illustrations and the name of the blog. Corgis + candy wrappers = very adorable.
A couple of names:
- Cardigan Chew (Corgum Chew?)
- Corgi Roll (Corgi Crunch? Although I think Roll is cuter)
- 3 Corgiteers
- Pemmy Joy? (Pemmy Pops?)
- Baroo Kiss?
Ok, thinking of names were a lot harder than I thought. Can't wait to see more updates. And I hope Duke finds a home!
