Yes! It's true! Yesterday Ruby the Corgi Puppy managed to get through the entire day without depositing a puddle for me to clean up.
Since the average has been about six or eight clean-ups, that's an accomplishment.
There's a trick to it, though: Yesterday I ended up working from about 9 a.m. all the way through to about 12:30 this morning. Most of that work was done on the back porch, with the laptop perched on the outdoor table.
So she didn't pee on the floor because she wasn't ON the floor. :-D
I've decided there's nothing wrong with her. There's really no sign of a UTI: her pee is clear and odorless, she's eating like a trooper, and she's full of vim and vigor. It's just that she hasn't made the connection between pee and outside yet. She's got No. 2 down pat. But apparently No. 1 is not as obnoxious to dogs as No. 2 is. Probably because they don't have to clean it up.

@ Beth: Wow! Six months! That's a whole ocean of dog pee to clean up! :-D
Several people have said this about corgis: that it takes a while to for them to get the Outside message. Sometimes she seems to have it, and then the next thing ya know, she seems to forget. Or decide to ignore it.
Heh. I'm convinced that dogs and cats both willfully choose to defile rugs when given a choice. Whenever I've had area rugs in the house, the dogs have determinedly gone TO a rug to barf or enjoy a moment of diarrhea. It must seem like grass to them.
Jack was mostly kept off the carpeted areas of the house til he was six months old because he'd pee when he'd run across carpet. Not sure why. Sort of like the sound of water running. He was allowed on the carpet briefly when he'd first come in from outside, and then he was in the kitchen on hard floors. There was no stopping or sniffing. He'd be running around, pause where he stood to pee, then continue running. One day it just all clicked in his head and he's been the most housebroken dog I've had since then--- he even goes to the door if he has to vomit.
yay, what a great feeling!!
