Anyone have any experience with TPLO Surgery?

Charlie (my Pem) has to go in for TPLO surgery to repair his CCL of his rear left knee.
I have heard that the recovery time can be as long as 8 weeks. I was wondering if anyone else has had a Corgi go through this surgery.

Comment by Julia on September 10, 2009 at 9:47pm: I think so. if I'm understanding your acronyms. CCL is the cruciate tendon, right? My dog had two replaced about 8 years ago. I don't recall the name of the surgery, but it involved replacing the tendons with a material similar to fishing line. Is this what you're talking about?
