Well, we attended our first bark-o-weenie! Initially the plan was to dress merlin and morgana as bats, and have our roommates corgi, Angelo, as a vampire lord. Unfortunately Morgana was having a rough time with allergies, so she ended up staying home. Instead, our basset hound, Freyja stepped up and took over as bat #2.

Everyone had a blast! Merlin was very excited to play 'dog walk', the canine version of a cake walk. We ended up taking home a collapsible dog bowl, and a box of milk bones. yummy!  After a few games, we turned the pups loose in the bark park to run around and burn off some energy before the costume parade. We actually saw another corgi- an adoooorable little tri color with a natural bobbed tail. i wish i had gotten a picture of him and merlin together. Compared to that little boy, i wonder if merlin has more of a glamour coat. he is a bit softer, and fuzzier than his sister, and MUCH fuzzier than the other little boy.

After blowing off some steam, we got the kids re-dressed in their costumes, and ready for the costume parade! the bat costume had matching bat hats, but merlins own bat ears didn't quite fit under the hat! There were some adorable costumes- everything from mastiffs-as-lions, to a land shark boston terrier!
