I haven't been on as much lately, and when I am it has been reading and not much replying (so sorry!).
My husband and I separated mid-July, and things have been rough but getting better.
I do have some happy amidst it all, though! I've been studying, and talking to breeders, and I am working my way to being a full-fledged breeder myself :) I've helped countless dogs during labor before (for pets of family, friends, etc), but Monday I had my first real complication. A puppy tried to be born breech, with only the tail and one foot out! The membrane had ruptured quite some time before, so it was extremely challenging. I was able to stay calm, and the mama did beautifully. After a bit of maneuvering, though, he was born completely healthy and full of energy! It made me even more sure of my decision to become a breeder. Wish me luck?

Sorry to read that your domestic life has gone in the dumper, a lot of us can sympathize. But you've got Corgis and they always need as much love as we can give and will return even more. Sounds like you're serious about the breeding stuff so I wish you all the best with that.
I'm sorry to hear about your separation. It must be a very trying time for you. But well, onward and upward as they say!
I wish you luck in your future endeavors, including breeding! I'm excited about the prospect of eventually getting into showing and breeding Cardigans, myself. It'll have to wait until the right bitch comes along, and I'll need to have done my internship with an established breeder already, so I'd say I'll be joining that world only in 6 or 7 years, minimum! I'm glad to hear that the delivery you assisted was a success. It's always a great feeling to welcome an animal into the world!
