Last night Bugsy went over by where his leash and collar hang. He sat there & looked at me. Then at his leash, & added a stump waggle. Then back at me. "Please Mommy take me for a walk now? Please!"
Well, of course I took him out for a romp!
This was the 1st time ever he's done that. I was very proud that he's learning his "words" ;-)
When he just wants to go out, he sits by the door looking at it. He yips when he wants back in...
It's been so long since I last had a corgi in my house, I had forgotten how smart they can be :D

I have a kitchen waste basket I use as his bin. Has brushes, toys, "mutt-mitts" etc in it. Lately he's been looking at it & doing the whine & wiggle. I'm not sure exactly what he's wanting out of there, but I've been grabbing his brush. As soon as he sees that he flops on to the floor into the "brush me!" pose.
Good job Bugsy!
Brodie is the spokesman in the household and will bark to go out and when ready to come back in. Lilly just follow his timetable (which fortunately has always worked for her too!) Neither one of ours has ever let us know they want a walk, but when we say "want to go for a walk" they run to the big urn in the livingroom where we keep the leashes.
