Has anyone ever had to deal with bladder polyps? First Zoey was being treated for a UTI, then when the meds they kept prescribing didn't work, they Xrayed her and found bladder stones-which it seems every dog in our neighborhood has! The vet wanted to rule out a tumor, so did an ultrasound, which is when he discovered the bladder polyps. He has only seen a couple cases in his entire career (which has been several decades), so right now we're monitoring to see if they grow/multiple. She is having her quarterly ultrasound tomorrow-so obviously concerned about the results.

Very happy to hear that all went well! Hopefully the stones and/or polyps will not return. Trying to get a sample from a low rider corgi at any time of the year is just about impossible!
Update~~Zoey came through her ultrasound yesterday with flying colors-so relieved!! The polyps had disappeared-or at least he could no longer see them. He said they are "kind of an inflammation thing" so it's possible this could happen. She also was able to pass her bladder stones, which he had thought she might, as they were all small. So speculation that the stones may have irritated the bladder and caused the polyps. So she is off her quarterly ultrasounds and he said to watch for straining/blood. Through all this, she seemed to be feeling well. The initial diagnosis of a UTI had been made by her vets "other vet", who-well-I prefer her regular vet-I just panicked when she started passing blood, it was his day off, and trying to get a urine sample from a corgi in the snow-well-doesn't work well. He did suggest if I had concerns, I could always catch a sample and look at it (not bring it in) and see if I thought it was reddish tinged. He also said bladder stones are common and it is possible for neighboring dogs to have them. So all is well :)
I would get a second opinion.
