I get the magazine "Cleanrun"..an agility magazine. In every issue there's a story about a dog beating, or at least living a happy active life with cancer. There are a lot of treatments out there that can be very successful. Don't give up. Good luck to you.
John THANK YOU so much for your comments! They have given me such comfort!
Take a deep breath. Try not to freak until you know for sure what's happening.
Then, if it is as bad as you fear, go ahead and freak. We'll freak with you.
Might it be treatable? My neighbor's dog lived with lymphoma in remission for a long time.
Even if it turns out the worst, he' still got you to see him through it to the end with good grace.
That's the situation we're all in. We just hope the end will be farther away.
It will be very stressful for you -- even if this is a false alarm -- but you will get through it. When we have no choice, we get through things.
Whenever you love someone, you're vulnerable to hurt.
I sure hope he's OK.
