Well today for the 1st time I caught Le-Le in the act of coming down the stairs. She has made us be her human elevator since day one. My husband thinks this is cute and says 'Don't teach her to go down, she might hurt herself. I'll pick her up and carry her down... just ask me". Well I am sure you can imagine who 9 out of 10 times takes her down the stairs. Granted most of the time she is following me up and so I have to bring her down. Well there have been a few exceptions when she has gone down the stairs herself. Mostly looking for me if I am away from the house. I have never seen this. Well today was so funny. I was cleaning and organizing so I was up and down the stairs. I was a bit tired of bringing her down so I left her up there since I knew I was heading back up fairly soon. Well not soon enough for her. When I came back in the room she was standing about mid-way on the stairs. When she saw me she froze..... she no longer had the ability to go down the stairs. I went about my business watching her to see what she would do. She just stood there. This went on a little too long so I finally went over to the stairs and she wagged and wagged that tail so happy to see me. But she would not budge. So I had to relent and go and pick her up and bring her down. Some day she may run UP and DOWN the stairs but for we are the human elevator. She has overcome her fear of the vacuum and will come and watch me vacuum. Following me from room to room as I clean.
