When Cerydwyn received her yearly shots this month, the vet informed me that she lost 20% of her weight. I knew she was getting thinner because her morning constitutional often seemed to be for a much smaller dog. I now have to give her 1/2 a rymadil tablet every evening. I also notice that at times she gets trapped in the doggie-door and struggles to get through. Sinc increasing her medicine, she has become more spry at the dog park. I now add some semi-moist or canned food to her dinner meal. The younger dogs will eat in the morning and at night, but Cerydwyn only wants food at dinner (that is if it not a dog treat). I am concerned because she is 16 1/4 years old and her situation can change quickly.

She still puts everyone else in their place and at the dog park she insists on greeting all dogs that come near. A couple of times she would bounce with one of the dogs until she gets stepped on. I wonder if the other dogs realize how old she is.

What surprises me is that the white fur on her front paws is quite pink now.

She looks GREAT! Bless her Corgi heart-sounds like she still enjoys life and gets the chance to do it-the rymadil helps with any aches and pain she may be feeling-stay with the canned food-better quality generally than the semi-moist. Spoil the old darling-she deserves it
