Skyler has been chewing this raw hide my best friend gave him yesterday. He is so focused on it, so devoted to chewing it--I mean, jeepers, I wish I had that kind of focus! Tell me this Sky, why chew it right next to my feet though???

So Sky has a little foot love. Loves to lick them, loves to be near them. He doesn't bite them or nip, just loves feet. Which means, ideally, he would like to chew his raw hide next to my feet! Oh what a little genus! >_<

I'm a worry wart when it comes to caring for Sky. My trainer was a big health nut and now the only treats I give him are the all-natural duck liver treats and Charlee Bear dog treats that are 3 calories a piece. I used to give him yummy puppy milk bones at first but then I heard the words, "you could get a fat puppy," and then WHAM only healthy treats. His best friend, Loki the lab puppy, eats all these crazy awesome treats, but hey, I want Sky to look good, feel good, and eat good! However, as an employee of Purina he eats Purina dog food, curently Beneful Puppy and is going to switch to our Purina ONE brand shortly. I do love Purina. If you ever get to visit their research center in St. Louis it is THE COOLEST place ever. With a "supermarket" inside, a future home of a pet owner, etc.

A great idiosyncracy that Sky has is the afinity to the word Tequila. I'm not quite sure where he grew to love this word as I've owned him since he was 10 weeks old but if you hold a cup and say, "TEQUILA TEQUILA," he will run up and sit, maybe hoping for a taste??? Not that I would give him one but still... I just tested it, while he was chewing his raw hide and I said, "Tequila tequila," where he immediately dropped the raw hide and came to sit infront of me. *shruggs*

Will, my fiance, is coming to town on Saturday and I look forward to doing a bunch of puppy activities. Will hasn't seen Sky since he was... 12 weeks old? Will and I get to visit each other every other week but since the last time he was in Dallas I've either been going to Tucson or been visiting him in places like California and Washington DC on vacation. Sky misses him, I'm sure. Probably wants to lick his feet. ^_^
