Friends have been fostering "PUMPKIN", a 7 y/o sable/white spayed F Corgi since her sister and hubby were transferred to Okinawa.  They found that they cannot move Pumpkin there and also face further deployments.  The foster folks have had the Corgi for nearly a year and can't do this much longer.  Colorado Corgi Rescue is very limited in its resources and facilities and can't accept any more dogs now.  Further there seems to be a shortage of DEMAND for Corgis here in the Colorado Springs area.  I already have a rescued Sheltie and a rescued F Corgi.  These folks are in Colorado Springs and need a corgi-lover's HELP!!!  THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS ALL RESCUE FAMILIES!

Hi, can you tell me if Pumkin is still available.  I am currently trying to get a companion for my corgi/queensland mix Harley.  I thought I found one, (the dogs owners passed away), but the daughter gave her away yesterday, the same day I supposed to pick her up, so I'm very disappointed.  I would like to get a female, so this might work.  If there's any info you can provide, please send me a message.  I just notice the comment below regarding the foster family.. so I'll take a look at it too.

Winnie, I know it is every hard to part with one's beloved Corgis. I am connected with Corgi Rescues of Amereica, which is a Facebook network of rescues from around the country. Linda from Wyoming Doxie and Corgi rescue is a members of this network, as is Amy Baker, who wrote here as well. If yu are concerned about making sure your Corgis go to safe, well checked out homes, Linda can definitely offer this. I adopted amy little Romeo from her a couple of months ago. I don't know how long she had been fostering him, but I know he had received very good care before I adopted him, and her application process was very thorough in checking for references and other information, so I know she would Mae sure your babies would be well cared for.

I have Wyoming Dachshund and Corgi Rescue. At this time we are full but if you could wait a couple of weeks I am sure a place will open up for Pumpkin.  I can get a transport for her to me in Wheatland, WY.  Let me know if this will work for you.  We placed 42 Corgis last year and always keep in touch with the new Corgi families.

They are an organization that helps find foster homes for soldier's dogs. They may be good people to contact for help.
