Having grown up with Corgi's all my life in New Zealand as my Grandmother being English Bred Welsh Pembroke Corgi's we had several on our farm. when we used to go and get the cows for milking morning and afternoon they would come along with us herd up the cows and follow them back to the shed for milking. My Corgi then Fritz got too close to one of the cows he was only young got kicked sent flying and was okay no broken bones!. Fritz never went near the cows again and stayed around the house never went near the milking shed again lived till he was 17!.
When I moved to Sydney I didn't get a Pembroke Corgi ( Oscar) till March 2003 12 weeks old I remember clearly the day it happened My Ex Partner's 102 year old Great Aunt came to visit Oscar was only with us one week he went trotting up behind her I saw what was about to happen he was going to nip her on her heel I sternly called out Oscar NO!!! I know what your about to do and don't you dare!. He stopped in his tracks turned his head and looked at me as if he understood what I was meaning! and to this day he has never done that again!. The Breeder told me don't ever hit your dog! I never would and never have it's in the tone of your voice she told me. If Oscar does something he shouldn't I change the tone of my voice No!! his ears go flat he knows that means stop what your about to do!. Oscar pouts for a bit then he comes up for a smooch, a lick and a cuddle and all is forgiven He never holds a grudge!.

Brian, you'll probably enjoy Scott Wiley's videos if you've not seem them.
Must have been neat to see them work the cows.
