Our Lucky is in need of a cart, or wheels. Has anyone had experience with a dog on a cart? I know it is more humane than having him drag his hind end around, but I worry that once he is mobile again he will run over the cat and the other corgi in his exuberance! He used to be our herder and ball player, and I would love to give him back that ability if that is possible. We live in the country, so he has been quite isolated lately. Any information would be helpful, all the vets say is that he needs a cart.

you can go to sunshine corgi rescue.com and go to carts for corgis. People have donated their corgi carts to this rescue organization. It's a neat website people have get togethers for all the little corgis with carts. Apparently there are alot of corgis with this problem. I don't know what it is though. My inlaws corgis back legs are starting to shake.I hope it's not the start of this problem what ever it is.

Carol, come and join us on Wheelcorgis! It's a yahoogroup, so go to www.yahoogroups.com and search for wheelcorgis. It's a very good group and we have worlds of experience, dealing with corgis who cannot walk for whatever reason!

Hello Carol, We bought our cart from www.eddieswheels.com and it was wonderful for our Linguine. He did not use it inside, but loved running around outside. You can definitely tell it makes them happier.
Another great site to check out is www.handicappedpets.com. They have so many things that can assist with the special needs dog. Their cart is very adjustable and I have read that alot of people like it. You can even rent them out. They have a forum where you can talk to other users about their carts. If you have any other questions, let me know. Patricia

Hi Carol ~ Our first corgi, Cobi, needed a cart the last few months of his life and I would say it definitely improved his spirits when he was able to play ball outside with the help of the cart. He didn't use the cart inside but was able to scoot around pretty good. I have a video on my page if you want to check it out. If you have any other questions I would be happy to help. gail
