double the fun, double the headache!! :)

We picked up the new puppy on Saturday, at first it was pretty rough. Faulks was NOT happy about it and was constantly throwing her down and displaying a lot of dominant behavior. These last few days he's definitely warmed up to her and they play but also fight, it's play fighting and he's really just mouthing her. Poor girl is ALWAYS covered in slobber. Is this normal? I've only ever grown up in a one dog family and I'm worried that this isn't normal. I had told the breeder I really needed a more submissive pup, and the first few days she was but now she's feeling her oats and barking back at him. Faulks is pretty borderline submissive/dominant so however she ends up I'm sure it'll be fine.
Here are some pictures of the girl. She still doesn't have a name, I'm between Penny, Willow, and Zoe(y).

It sounds like they are sorting themselves out. I got a new puppy last year when Bertie was 3 1/2 years, and they accepted each other very quickly. I took some measures around eating and sleeping -- fed the puppy in her crate for months, to help crate train her, and she slept in the crate for her first year -- and I made sure to spend some time with each one alone. But otherwise, they sorted themselves out and they know the limits the other one will tolerate. It was interesting to watch, really. Your guys are so cute. (And I'm glad that tape is gone! ha!)
