My heavens what a difference a year makes! I can't wait to get the video off the camera so I can post it. I'm going to put Dudley's run in Novice jumpers last year next to this years Open Jumpers run for comparison. While he didn't qualify on either run, the difference is astounding. Last year he did 2 or 3 jumps and then zoomied around the ring with me trying to get him to the exit where he decided the tunnel looked especially enticing. He tried to see how many times he could get through it before Mommy made him stop. This year he hit his weave pole entry very solidly, and did everything I asked him to. Unfortunately Mommy asked him to do a few wrong things so he didn't qualify, but good dog! You did what I asked! Good dog! Bad handler! :D
What was particularly exciting was that he actually earned one of his agility titles at Cardigan Nationals! Woo hoo! I had no expectations of earning a title at all because we went to Cardigan Nationals with no earned Open legs and only 1 Novice Standard Preferred leg. Dudley has some teeter issues so I didn't think he'd actually qualify in Standard. Surprise! He qualified on both of his Standard runs to earn his Novice Agility Preferred title. His official name is now Claymore's Dudley DoRight RN NAP NJP.
We're off to Columbia, Missouri this weekend to see if we can earn an Open leg in something. If we don't, that's fine. If we do, that's great!
