So I know my Corgi Willy is only 9 months old but he seems to eat everything. The other day he ate right through the bag of my Halloween costume then ate part of the costume. He also likes to chew on the fringe of my oriental rugs. I try giving him chew toys and balls to play with and eat but it just does not seem to do the trick. He is very well behaved other than that but any suggestions as to how to get him out of this habit? It is just really frustrating considering he likes to eat my socks the second I take them off also!!

LIke I tell my husband...use the laundry hamper!

Seriously, try different kinds of toys. Some dogs like some kinds of toys more than others.

Seconding D. Campbell. If you just think "Anything I leave on the ground WILL be destroyed" not only will your items be safe, but your home will be cleaner than it's been in years.
When bitter apple didn't work, I sprayed a diluted tangerine essential oil mix onto the fringes of our rugs and it worked like a charm. The cats stopped fussing with them too.

Is he actually eating everything or just destroying everything?

try to bump up his daily walk time, that will tire him out, you can also try spraying bitter apple, but you'll need to reapply every few days, he's going through the rebellious stage right now, so you'll need to keep him mentally and physically stimulated. good luck!
