We took our first overnight trip in almost 11 years this weekend and that meant the boys went on their first overnight trip also. We found a pet friendly hotel and off we went on a 5 hour road trip. They always do well in the car but I was worried (since they are both big on barking at unknown noises at home) how well they would do in a hotel. They make such an impression everywhere they go that the minute we went to walk through the lobby people wanted to pet them. They have met very few people that aren't their instant best buddies so it made their day (such attention hounds). They were so good in the hotel room, only one time of barking the whole night and they listened and quieted down when told to. I was so proud of them!! So very very proud. Now I don't have to worry about taking them on overnights with us and I have never been so glad they are so very friendly to everyone of all ages because they got mobbed every time we stepped out of the room. As much fun as they had they sure were happy to get home- they ran around barking in joy!
