Milo received all of his heartworm treatments and is doing really well. I think he is actually starting to feel better because that boy can jump! I didn't even realize he could jump as high as my shoulders (I'm 5'4) and he definitely did when I let him out of his crate. I try my best to keep him calm but I do understand how he feels.
He has to go back in on the 15th for a health check to make sure the heartworms are gone--I guess? I hate his vet's office. I would rather use mine. I spend more time on the phone on hold, told the wrong things, going there and waiting some more before someone can give me a 10 second answer that doesn't even totally have the time to answer my other questions.
Grr...I hate that office. At least I know not to take my little girl there. I can't even get a Vet to call me back at Milo's office--heck I see the office personal more than the Vet tech and the Vet combined. Sadness!
Oh, there's a good possibility he may be adopted out to an elderly couple. This can be a good thing--I'm not sure how bad his jumping will get once he gets better so I'm not a 100% about it--and to be honest my heart sank a bit. He does deserve a new home though and one that loves him lots!
Since he has to spend so much time either crated or chilling, I got him his first doggie bed! He seems to really like it a lot as he hasn't ripped it to shreds at all. He looks sooo comfortable now. I leave the fan on in the room just in case he gets hot--as I heard the treatment may elevate his temperature some.
He's a sweet boy and Freya has really started to warm up to him too. She's constantly trying to lick him and try to jump on his head. He got to go to the AT&T store with us and got loved on by an employee there and then he got more love at the Tractor Supply Company. He did really great in there and thankfully didn't pee inside the store.
I truly hope he finds a great home.
