As Harrison and I were outside taking a potty break I saw a little girl carrying a white doggy, her mom opens the gate they have a brief conversation and then the girl puts the dog down and she goes inside. The little doggy was left outside on the side of the street, I whistled over to the dog and she quickly came running over to us. I instantly recognized her! She belonged to the ppl who live behind my house and I had seen her out before. She was the sweetest little thing and Harrison instantly wanted to play with her. But I knew she had to go back to her owner so Harrison and I walked over to return her. After some waiting and asking around the owners of the house came out, I ask if it was there dog. The lady said it belonged to her tenant, and that the dog was always getting out. And she even thought the lady might not want the dog anymore. I told her she was a sweet dog that had almost gotten stolen by the little girl.
Moral of the story= If I see that dog out a few more times I may just keep her and find her a new forever home. Its not fair to let the dog take to the streets only to get hit by a car.
Also, Harrison is a little upset at me now, he wanted to keep. He's just been staring out the door waiting for her.
