Ok, I was reluctant to shell out so much cash for a doggie comb... partly because Nutmeg was not feeling the brush. By feeling, I mean she would freak out, and cry. I was SO gentle, and coo'd to her the whole time. She LOVES LOVES LOVES baths! If she could shower with me every morning she would! If she could make it over the tub, I'm sure she would jump in herself. My issue was the combing/brushing. So...I breakdown and buy the Furminator. OMG! She was iffy at first, but soon was just about asleep as I reduced her body weight by about half (all fur). I'm SO thrilled and am pretty sure she is too with this tool. It's a miracle! I was shocked at the amount of fur that came off her. I could knit another corgi with that much fur! I feel like I was dis-serving her by not getting her one sooner. Now, that I am a convert, how often do I use it on her? We are in Florida, so she doesn't need a winter coat by any means. Thanks in advance!

Totally agree, the furminator is great. I use it once a week -- and although it's a pricey tool -- to me, it's absolutely the best.

Same here. We use ours about once a week. Maybe more during "coat" season. And wow does it make a difference!!!

We just live 2 hours north of you :) We use the furminator once a week, we found it helps to extend the life of our roomba and dyson. When you're use the furminator once a week, you will not pull as much fur like the very first time, I think it helps a lot and reduce the work during "blowing coat" season.

I know what you mean, I feel like I could start my own business selling corgi-fluff pillows! The furminator works GREAT, but I don't use it more than once a week normally, or maybe twice a week when Dax is really shedding his coat. I almost feel like it would pull out too much fur and leave him looking too flat. I can still brush and brush and brush and it never ends, but he seems to do well on once a week.
