It has been a while....When I joined I was in search of a corgi.  I found one!!  To all of you who helped: A Big THANK YOU. Since I was in the process of closing condo sale/moving, I had to operate on some one else's schedule and such is the drama of my life-everything that could go wrong ....did.  But fate intervened and thru the great leads I got, I found a great lady in Birmingham, Ala with 30+ yrs experience and just as many champions and who just so happened to have 2 fluffies avail. These were her last 2 babies of the litter.

This was the little ball of fluffy at 9 weeks. This is the 1st pix of her and once I laid my eyes on her I couldn't resit.

Once things settled, I was able to make arrangements to get my baby girl.

Oh what a joy!!!

The best part is that I was able to keep it a secret from my daughter!!! She had no clue until we were at the airport and heard a dog barking!!! We had been talking about getting a dog for sooooooo long that I was happy to make a little girls wish come true...OK mine too! Our bundle of fluffie joy came home last Friday.  It  has been a whirlwind of fun.

So, after several initial tries at a name..my daughter decided on Munchkin.  I was not thrilled but since I picked the pup, I thought it only fair that she name her, provided I could live with it for the next 10-15 yrs.  When I asked her why she chose Munchkin, she said that since I described her as a big "round" ball of fluff and munchkins are round, the name fits.  AHHHH the simplicity of a 9 yrs old mind!!

At 14 weeks and 12 lbs she is "home" and she is coming out of her shell and that bountiful puppy joy is spreading throughout our new home.

She went to the vet and is perfectly healthy. Needless to say everyone fell in love with her.  In a town full of other small breeds, she is one of 2 corgi's and the one and only fluffy!!

They sent her home with the bow but it didn't last long!!!  it's just not her style.

Now I just need to come up with a suitable registration name!!!

To be owned by a corgi.........

OH what a feeling!!!!!

FLUFFY FLUFFY FLUFFY FLUFFY FLUFFY!!!!!

I'm a big fan myself of a corgi of the fluffy persuasion!

Just remember to keep her sanitary area nice and trimmed... you'll find out why with the first bout of GI discomfort! :P

That is so much fun with the kids. It doesn't matter what age. When we bought Lando Oliver home my 16 yo son was surprised and he was so delighted too and he named Lando after Lando Calrisian from star wars. His full name is Lando Oliver Calrisian Dish network (the ears) Porter.
