Happy First Birthday LaVerne!!!

My baby girl is 1 year old today! You know how your mind takes a snapshot when something really important happens in your life? Well I cant remember what I had for breakfast this morning but I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I got the phone call telling me that my pup had been born. I remember the excitement I felt. When the pups turned 6 weeks old I drove 3 1/2 hours to go pick her out. I knew almost instantly which pup would be mine and I've never doubted that choice for an instant. It was so hard waiting another 2 weeks to bring her home. I "nested" and got everything a pup could need or want ready for her homecoming. I don't think I slept an hour the night before I went and got her. With 2 teenage boys and a husband that works 2 jobs, everyone seems to be going in opposite directions. LaVerne has had a way of bringing us all together and making us smile and laugh together. She has made our lives so much better and I cant imagine life without her. She has been the best gift.
