We returned from our walk yesterday and this cute young koala was sitting on the front fence, we had not had one visit our home before. He/she wandered off to the top of a gum tree to have lunch.
Wow, how cool is that? The most exotic thing we get in our yard is peacocks. We're used to them, but we have people stopping in the street to stare when the peacocks are walking along the road. You usually only see them in zoos here!
Thankyou for all the comments, Harry was not a gracious host, I put Harry inside because he was going "ballistic" and I wanted the koala to stay so I could look at him. He sat on the fence for about 10 minutes then hopped down, which was a bit stressful as he was trying to get down next to a spiked gate, I could'nt help as they have very sharp claws. He then wandered off to a gum tree nearby and is still there, right at the top, 2 days later. The funniest thing was Booie the cat hiding from Harry in the garden next door, poked his head out to watch the koala walk past, he had'nt seen one before. Looked like disbelief to me!! Oh about the tail no tails on koalas!!
