When I took Foxy down to the dog park, he would always group with the big dogs. But one time, right before Easter, he got into the backyard of the people next to us, because his much loved tennis ball went through it. He some how managed to get over into their yard, and their dog.... Moose... Attacked him. I saw the whole thing. Foxy tried to get away but Moose was HUGE next to him. and kind of tore him up badly. He's fine now, he's happy as can be, but every time we take him to the dog park now, he goes to the smaller dogs, because he realized he's closer to their size.

Poor little guy!  How frightening for you, too.  Glad he's ok now.  My Auggie also doesn't back down - must be a Corgi trait.  There's a pit bull in his training class that he would just as soon eat.  Luckily it's just a puppy also, but there have been several tense moments.   I'm not sure the trainer realizes that Auggie means business when he confronts the other dog!
