Foxy has a night time routine every night. Ever since we got him he's done this.
He always sees me to bed, meaning, he comes with me, and gets in his bed that is located in the corner of my room and lies down and waits for me to settle in. I then turn out the light, and he stays there for a little bit. Then, he gets up quietly and goes into the living room and sleeps under the table. At first, I thought he would get hot and move to cooler areas around the house, but now that I think about it more, I think it's a way of him seeing that I'm safe. He's so sweet.

Lilliput "tucks me in." I'm the last to bed in my house, and there is a dog who is usually in my spot in my bed when I get there. Lilli comes to bed with me, jumps up and attacks the interloper, chasing him out of my place. The other dog has not learned how to move over for people yet (he's been an outside dog all his life), so Lilli is helping in his education. She sticks around, waiting at the door, watching, until she see's I'm safely and comfortably in bed. Then she's off to her crate for her own night's sleep.
