Like already mentioned, keep her crated when you can't keep a good eye on her. If she's not being watched and she can rip it up with no consequences she has no way of knowing that she's being bad. If she's crated when she can't be watched you can be on the look out for when she's about to do it an reprimand her and she'll learn. Also, like others mentioned, keep new exciting toys around by rotating which are out. I'll take out a toy Orion and Laika haven't seen in a while and they go totally bonkers for it. Also kongs filled with peanut butter then frozen keep them busy too. If she always gets in trouble when she does the bad behavior she'll learn its a no-no. She's a baby so if you're consistent she'll learn fast what is an isn't allowed.

Oh yes, puppies seem to have a real love of helping you rip up the carpet. The best advice is what's already been mentioned. Keep her crated when you aren't at home or can't keep her with you in the house. When you are home but don't want to watch her quite as closely, you can use a leash to tether her to you. That way she can't get out of eyesight or in too much trouble. Puppies are just like infants and need a lot of supervision until they grow up.

Dot isn't being bad, she just has a different sense of interior decorating and feels you need to update the flooring! lol

Ashton went through a carpet phase when he was younger. I mentioned I wanted hardwood flooring and shortly thereafter he chewed a hole in the hallway and in the living room. I am sure he was just trying to help me get my new flooring, but my hubby didn't see it that way. :P

Pretty much what worked for him was to keep him confined if we weren't directly watching him. We also rotated his toys so he didn't get bored with the same ol' toys. Filling Kongs with tasty treats and other "mind stimulating" toys and activities helps along with plenty of exercise to burn off some of that puppy energy. After a few weeks he lost interest in the flooring and hasn't chewed on the carpet since. You can try spraying Bitter Apple or Chew Guard on the areas that are being chewed to help deter her from going back to them.

Best of luck to you! :)

The only advice I can give is to crate her when you can't watch her so she can't get the opportunity to eat it on you....or get enough bitter apple spray to hit your whole carpet. Sorry.
