HELP! my 14 week old corgi wont stop biting...

my 14 week old corgi will not stop biting us. we've tried yiping, and she gets even more excited. we've tried ignoring her, and she doesnt care. we've tried thumping her on the nose and saying no, but she thinks were playing. weve tried squirting her with water, but she likes it. i know she's teething right now, and everyone says they grow out of it, but is there any way we can get her to understand that she is not allowed to bite us?

Don't just ignore her.  Leave.  Use baby gates to keep her in one room.  When she nips, say "ah-ah" and if she stops great.  If not, get up and step over the gate.  Wait one to two minutes and try again.  She'll get it.

Have you tried letting out a very loud "ouch!" or yelping sound?  It may not work, but often puppies will stop the same as when a litter mate or other dog yelps.  Also, a good "toy" to give during teething is a frozen washcloth.  Get a washcloth good and wet, then wring out most of the water.  Roll it up and then place it into the freezer.  Once it's frozen, just let her have at it.  :)  I have yet to meet a teething puppy that doesn't love to chew a washcloth.

thank you. we do have quite a few toys for her. we bought her a kong, and she doesnt seem to care for it much. we usually are really good about subsituting our hands for a toy, but she also likes to bite our hand as were handing her the toy! haha! i know she'll learn, i just want to make sure she knows that its not ok, and i dont want to do something wrong or not be doing enough to teach her that biting us isnt ok. shes our first pup, so were learning as we go! she's definitely very smart, and it doesnt take her long at all to learn tricks!

Teething is painful for her. Immediately substitute a chew toy when she bites. She's teething and needs appropriate things to chew on that will satisfy her.

When she bites say, "NO'" and then give the chew toy and say, "GOOD."
