We just figured out Zwei is submissive ... if not a little bit more than I expected.

We've started introducing him to our family's other dogs and wondered what would happen if he met our hamsters. So we took one dwarf out, put her in a ball and put her up to him.

What does he do? (haha!)

He grabs his kong and pulls it away! Every time she rolls closer he moves away.

It's kind of cute but worrisome at the same time. At least I know he won't eat them. :)

Ha haha... that's so cute. When my hamster is on the floor rolling, my friend's dog will try to grab the hamster ball and play with it like it's his ball. So I could never let my hamster roll around when my friend's dog is around. I don't know what Mocha and Vienna would do though... I have yet to introduce them. But I can be pretty sure that Mocha will bark at my hamster and try to grab the ball... and Vienna will probably walk away just like whenever she's near a ball (because Mocha claim all balls his).

It might be that Zwei is more scared of the ball rolling towards him than the hamster. My corgi was the same, when he was 3-5 months old, he would back up whenever our dwarf hamster rolled towards him. Now, he gently rolls the ball with his nose.
