SO recently Ace has been getting the hiccups its not from him eating to fast because he gets them from just laying there.. He hasnt had them really since beyond 6 months old but he started getting them again
How many people's corgis still get Hiccups? lol I was shocked the first time he got them as a puppy My brothers Potty when he made those noises ment he was gonna puke XD so i rushed ace outside really fast the first time i heard him make those noises XD

I had never heard of animals other then people getting hiccups so i was intreagued XD. But ace has gotten them twice within the week and its from him laying there with me patting/petting him.

on another note. We keep a bag of Potatos on the floor under the bench seat in our dining room and well I guess ace saw me eat one *not to mention he cleaned up a little tater mess i didnt notice until i heard slurping* but the bad thing is ace snuck a tater out and proceeded to eat it in the livingroom infront of my mom XD evidently he likes potatoes but i had to give him a firm NO! and point out the bag was a no no for him. I couldnt help laugh at the whole thing mom was like "We dont need him helping himself to a potato anytime he feels like it!

poor pup he just wanted what I had XD

I wouldn't feel bad, it wasn't intentional.  Molly gets them when she gets overexcited about something happening around her (ex. the cat is playing with her, she has run around too much, she ate too fast...).  If and when it happens again, just talk soothingly to your puppy, have it lay down and rub it's belly.  Usually it will slow the breathing and the hiccups going away quickly.

It's actually pretty cute to be honest.  lol

It's possible.  If you think about human situations with hiccups, usually we get them after being startled, eating too fast, or drinking too fast... maybe we even get them after getting excited about something.  It would be the same type of thing for a dog.  Maybe the initial startle of being woken up excited his diaphragm and created the hiccups.  It happens.  :)

Do you think me scaring him might cause them?cuz he was sleeping and i patted his tummy very gently then he got them..

Molly had hiccups the other day, so I just laid there with her and rubbed her belly for a few minutes until they went away.  It usually happens right after she gets super excited about something.  :)
