I didn't realize how long it had been since I had been on here. Life just gets so busy sometimes. Thought I would just jot down a quick note about how much fun my dogs had at my brothers yesterday. My brother and his wife moved to St. John Washington last month, and we decided to drive up for the day and see the place. So of course all three fur kids had to go too, which meant we had to take the truck so there was room lol. Levi loves our new truck, when my husband lets us have it, I put a chain in the back so that he can go for rides more often. He is just too big to ride in the explorer. He loads right up and goes up to his spot. For only riding in a truck for a little over a week he does really well, doesn't bark at everyone as we go by. Yesterday he was in the truck and did bark at my brothers boss, like "dude this is my truck get back" but he wasn't snarling or growling about it just kind of a warning bark.
Taz is not so impressed with the truck, we rigged the chain so he can ride in back too, but usually only on short trips around town. For the long rides he gets to ride in the back seat with the kids. KC of course is the queen so she never has to ride in back, lol, and gets to sit up front between mom and dad in the place of honor. They all ran and played so much yesterday on the ranch that dogs and kids were all passed out within minutes of getting in the truck to go home. KC didn't even complain when I moved her over so I could sit next to my husband on the way home, just opened one eye like "huh" and immediately closed it again. It was fun. I hope we can get moved someplace like that soon so that they can have room to run all the time, in town kind of stinks, especially since we have grouchy neighbors that complain every time the dogs bark, no matter why they are barking. This is particularly annoying since the whole street behind us has dogs that usually start the ruckus and ours just kind of halfheartedly join in but the cranky guy is closest to us so we get the blame.
The people behind us have a Great Dane, a short haired collie, and some kind of hunting dogs that bays or whatever they call it. And goats. So this particularly drives my herding dogs crazy.
